hat

my best little buddy.

The other day, I had my jacket on, and Rivs saw the hood hanging down. He runs up yelling "hat!" and puts it on my head. Then, he tries to put a hat on him. Pulling his collar way up (almost chocking himself). So we marched to his bedroom and pulled his sweater out of the closet. Here's your hat! I said. And we put the sweater on, and then he pulled his hat over his head, exclaiming "hat." The rest of the day he walked around with the hood over his head (even when he lost his pants - those things are always falling off. :)
Talking about hats and hoods, Rivs is really really into hoods lately. He's obsessed with his hooded towel. Every night after bath time he likes to be wrapped up in his hooded towel, as we walk back to his room he repeats over and over again "rock," so we sit down and rock Rivers and read books. Then it's time to dress him in his pj's. That's when the fun begins. Rivers yells and yells, holding his towel around him determined to keep his hooded towel on him. After we manage to dress him we stick his hooded towel over his head, and the yells immediately stop and a smile of contentment appear on Rivs face. Then we wrap him back up and read his books. And yes, he is determined to go to sleep in his towel. When we go in to peek on him before going to bed, we always find him still wrapped up in hooded towel. Such a funny little guy. This age is so full of spirit and personality.

So so cute! I'm glad you are taking the time to record these cute little personality traits of his because it's amazing how quick you can forget these things. This post reminded of how much Addy used to love wearing her fairy wings, something I completely forgot about. Thanks for sharing!
