Bike!

We weren't sure what to expect with Rivs new bike. He's a very stubborn little boy. If he decides he doesn't like something or doesn't want to do something, there is absolutely no coaxing. When he says something once he means it. No discussion. Well, there was absolutely no room for coaxing. Rivers was ecstatic when he walked out of his room Sunday morning to find his flashy new, red bicycle, bell and all sitting out in the front room waiting for him, he jumped right on and began riding it around! The kid is amazing at it. He climbs right on, absolutely no assistance necessary, he turns corners, goes up and down miniature steps, and today at the park he went down a little hill, no problem. It's his new form of travel, when he wants a snack, he jumps on his bike and travels to the kitchen, when it's time for bath he jumps on his bike and travels to the bathroom (yes, nude - the kid really knows how to live it up!), when it's time to find dad, Rivs jumps on his bike and travels to the office. He loves this thing. And Rivers rocks on his new balance bike. He is completely in love. At night time while I rock him, he sits there and tells me about his little red bike. I'm sure he even dreams about it. This bike is Rivers new best friend (next to Canberra of course :).
